Detroit, MI – You can tell by her smile Olivia Pryor was a shining light of Detroit. Just 18 years old, family and friends are now shocked that they'll never see that smile again.

Pryor, 18 was found by her roommate unresponsive in her Michigan State University dorm room at 10amMonday morning. The early indication from MSU police is that her sudden death is "alcohol related."
A devastated family
Pryor's father is in shock, as any parent would be.
Gregory Pryor says he won't comment on his daughter's death until a full investigation is complete.
Pryor says his daughter didn't drink. In fact, he says she never drank. An autopsy is scheduled for today. Pryor says his daughter graduated with honors from Martin Luther King high school in Detroit last year and made her way to Michigan State to study journalism.
He says she was bright and so hard working, and on social networking sites like Twitter, dozens of her friends are remembering her.

THE MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING THE DEATH OF AN 18 YEAR OLD STUDENT. THE STUDENT WAS IDENTIFED AS OLIVIA NICOLE PRYOR. POLICE RESPONDED TO S HUBBARD HALLSHORTLY AFTER 10AMON MARCH 19, 2012AFTER RECEIVING A CALL FROM A MSU STUDENT WHOS SAID HER ROOMMATE WAS UNRESPONSIVE. SPECIFIC CAUSE OF DEATH HASNOT BEEN DETERMINED PENDING THE OUTCOME OF AN AUTOPSY. ALCOHOL IS BELIEVED TO BE A FACTOR.
