WESTLAND, Mich. – The Westland shopping center on Ford Road is about to take on a whole new look.
The project, described as a major facelift, will upgrade the building at 33652 Ford Road.

"The investment of property owners in our All American City is vital to the growth of the community," said Westland Mayor William R. Wild. "The commitment and dedication to maintain and improve properties is greatly appreciated by my administration, residents, and visitors alike."
The 7,040 square foot building will undergo extensive exterior renovations that include elimination of the out-of-date mansard roof and replacement with an EIFS parapet facade system, as well as the painting of the remainder of the building to match, said Wild.
The improvements were approved by the Westland City Council at its meeting July 16.
