6 injured after car runs stop sign in NW Detroit

Car that was hit contained 2 adults, 3 children

DETROIT – Several people were injured in a two-car accident in northwest Detroit Sunday evening.

Accident investigators were on the scene all night, reports Local 4's Shawn Ley.

According to Detroit Police, a car failed to stop at a stop sign at Gilcrist St. and Puritan St., and crashed into another car containing two adults and three children. 

The two adults and three children all suffered minor injuries.  The driver of the silver Cadillac, who ignored the stop sign,  is in critical condition at Sinai-Grace Hospital. 

The Crown Victoria that was hit ended up on the side of a house. According to police, the car is resting on the gas line attached to the house.
