DETROIT – An 11-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man are in critical condition after a shooting Tuesday night on Detroit's west side.
The shooting happened in the 9000 block of Prest Street, near West Chicago Avenue and Greenfield Road.
Sources tell Local 4 that the boy, Johnathan Williams, was taken to Sinai-Grace Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He, apparently, was not the intended target.
Police said they believe the 26-year-old man and his girlfriend were returning home with a pizza when they were ambushed.
Two gunmen, hiding in a vacant house across the street opened fire on them.
Some of the gunshots flew inside the home, hitting the 11-year-old who was in the living room.
