Court hearing delayed until June for Novi school principal accused of being drunk on school property

Kim Warren has resigned from role at Deerfield Elementary after arrest in April

NOVI, Mich. – A hearing for a Novi elementary school principal who is accused of being drunk on school property has been delayed.

Kim Warren was due in court Monday, but a new date was set for June 24.

Warren, who worked at Deerfield Elementary School, was arrested April 8 after returning to the school from lunch.

The 44-year-old is charged with having open intoxicants in a vehicle and a blood alcohol content of more than .17 percent. The legal limit is .08 percent.

She has since resigned.
