Man arrested for string of indecent exposures in Troy

Police catch suspect after several incidents reported in May

TROY, Mich. – The Troy Police Department has arrested they say is man responsible for following several women and then exposing himself.

Brian Patrick Jones, 24, from Mt. Clemens, was arrested after a lengthy investigation by Troy Police. Police say Jones subsequently admitted to the incidents.

Attorney Richard Marcil represents Jones. He says his client entered a not guilty plea and denies admitting to police that he exposed himself.

Marcil says his client has no criminal record and was granted a personal bond.

In May, police sent out an alert warning residents after three incidents were reported in Troy and one in Royal Oak.

The first two incidents happened on May 4th when the suspect exposed himself to a 32-year-old woman jogging near Robinwood Park in Troy. Two 12-year-old girls had the same thing happen to them near Anvil and Forge.

Two more incidents were reported on May 7th. A woman jogging in area of Bellaire Street in Royal Oak told police the suspect followed and flashed her at 5:53 p.m. Later that day, at 7:00 p.m a 36-year-old woman walking in area of Burtman and Wacon in Troy became the next victim.

Jones has been charged with one count of indecent exposure, which is a 93 day misdemeanor. His pre-trial hearing will be held on August 13th.
