DETROIT – The first mediation hearing for Detroit's Chapter 9 municipal bankruptcy filing will be 11 a.m. Sept. 17.
Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr will be joined by the city's retirement systems, unions, Downtown Development Authority, state of Michigan representatives, U.S. Bank National Association and Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette. They will appear before Judge Steven Rhodes, who has been assigned to hear the case.

Each party is ordered to be represented by no more than two attorneys and two party representatives.
The hearing will be held in Detroit federal court.
