Boyne starts making snow, hopes to open for skiers before Thanksgiving

Northern Michigan ski areas gearing up for upcoming ski season

BOYNE FALLS, Mich. – Snowmaking crews at Boyne fired up snow guns Monday morning at Boyne Highlands and later in the afternoon at Boyne Mountain.

Staff at the Boyne ski resort are hoping to keep the guns blowing snow through Wednesday. At this time Boyne does not have a target date for opening. Everything is dependent on the weather.
