LANSING, Mich. – Billionaire Michael Bloomberg's political action committee is spending $2.3 million to air TV ads helping Republican Gov. Rick Snyder's re-election bid.
Bloomberg spokesman Stu Loeser said Tuesday that the ex-New York mayor admires how Snyder "executed his vision for Michigan's comeback." He cites job growth, Snyder's pro-immigration stance and education policies.

The political independent has also spent millions helping Democrats. He gave $2.5 million to help Democrats defend their majority in the Senate. He's endorsing Democrat Gary Peters in Michigan's Senate race over Republican Terri Lynn Land.
