Detroit Polar Plunge canceled due to weather

DETROIT – Special Olympics Michigan decided to cancel Saturday's Polar Plunge in Detroit because of the extreme cold.

Staff members and volunteers will still be at Milliken State Park to run the "After Splash Bash," which is now being called the "No Splash Bash." Plungers can pick up their plunge shirts and have a meal. Awards will be given out for top fundraising and best costumes.
