MT. CLEMENS, Mich. – Macomb County police say that 22-year-old Alexander Burkart, of Mt. Clemens, was found dead in a truck with a stab wound on his chest Saturday at 8:18 p.m.
Police say they responded to reports of a car crash behind a business at 178 northbound Gratiot Avenue and found a 2003 Dodge pickup truck that hit a pole. Burkart was the only person in the truck.
Police administered first aid to Burkart until EMS arrived and took him to McLaren Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities found two possible suspects who were seen on surveillance footage and took one into custody for questioning. The 18-year-old Mt. Clemens man admitted to his involvement in the incident. Police are searching for a second suspect who is still at large.
