WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department has lifted a boil water alert for areas of Shelby Township, Washington Township and the Village of Romeo.
The alert was issued Sunday night and canceled Monday morning.

The alert was so DWSD could repair an air valve on a 96-inch water main between 27 and 28 Mile Roads on Campground Road in Washington Township. The affected area extended about 14 miles.
Residents in the area will notice a decrease in water pressure.
