Man shot, killed while driving in southwest Detroit

DETROIT – A man was shot and killed while driving in southwest Detroit Sunday, according to police.

The 45-year-old man was driving a Ford Explorer when he came upon a black Cadillac that was blocking the street.

The man drove around the Cadillac, which began following him. Shots were fired from the Cadillac through the back of the Explorer, striking the man.

The Explorer stopped a few blocks away at the Safeway Market on Dix and Woodmere streets, where the man was found dead in his vehicle.

Detroit police are investigating.
