DETROIT – A piece of art created by the elusive street artist Banksy on a wall of the former Packard Plant in Detroit is up for auction.
The cinderblock piece titled "I Remember When All This Was Trees" is expected to garner at least $200,000 in the auction, which begins Wednesday in California through Julien's Auctions.
The 7-foot piece was removed from the plant in 2010 by the nonprofit 555 Gallery and Studios.
The four-color aerosol stencil and freehand work depicts a young boy holding a can of red paint and a brush. It's thought to emanate the negative effects of industrialization.
