DETROIT – A man was found shot to death Tuesday inside a home in the 11000 block of Asbury Park near the Southfield Freeway and Plymouth Road on Detroit's west side.
The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Cornelius Bargainer. A friend of his told Local 4 he last spoke to Bargainer Monday night.
The victim's friend said Bargainer was shot multiple times in his arm, chest and head. He was found in the living room of the house.
Family members said Bargainer was a beloved handyman in the neighborhood.
"I loved everything about him because he was overall a good person. He was really a good person," said the victim's niece, Courtney Saltmarshall. "He had a good heart and I just really hate that this has happened."
Detroit police are looking for the killer, but have not released any details or a description.
