Forecast: Wind, cold temps on the way to metro Detroit

DETROIT – Most of the rain is out of here, but the next item on our weather menu is the wind AND falling temperatures.

Bundle up for Thursday morning!

This evening, we'll see a few stray sprinkles and areas of drizzle from the low cloud deck. Once a cold front moves through around midnight we'll see a few extra showers. But wind speeds will spike, with gusts over 30 mph. With temps falling to lows around 40, wind chills will be below freezing by daybreak!

On Thursday, windy conditions will continue, as temperatures rise only to the mid-and-upper 40s. After a few early showers (and maybe a few snowflakes!), we'll be mainly dry.

Friday we'll start out even colder with morning lows in the mid 30s. Skies will be mostly sunny, helping daytime highs hit the low 50s.

Halloween looks *mainly* dry, but unfortunately the rain chances look to arrive close to sunset. It won't be a lot of rain, but be prepared to see a few raindrops in the evening.

Then a nice warmup arrives in the 10 Day Forecast. Check out the numbers!
