Dearborn gas station targeted by thief

DEARBORN, Mich. – A gas station in Dearborn was broken into early Thursday morning, and the thief caused nearly $6,000 in damage and lost merchandise.

The break-in happened on the corner of Monroe Street and Outer Drive at 3:17 a.m.

The thief broke a window with a brick and was able to grab the cash drawer and merchandise. It all happened in 45 seconds.

The gas station has been there for 28 years without incident.
