Suspect in Linden school shooting plot now facing child porn charges

Ryan Stevens recorded sex act between underage teens, prosecutor says

ARGENTINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An 18-year-old who is charged with plotting shootings at two Michigan schools is now facing sex crime charges.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton on Monday said Ryan Stevens is charged with criminal sexual conduct, producing child pornography and distribution of child pornography.

Stevens allegedly recorded a 15-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl performing a sex act in a hotel room, and then sent the video to the two other defendants in the school shooting plot case.

"This is a very disturbing incident," Leyton said.

The school shooting plot was discovered on Oct. 28, after a Linden High School student reported death threats against her to a school resource officer. Leyton said Stevens, a former Linden student, allegedly made the threats because he was upset over something that was posted about him on Facebook.

Stevens, Lamar Dukes, 15, of West Bloomfield and Cody Brewer, 15, of Wolverine Lake were arrested the next day.
