Officer placed on administrative leave pending outcome of sheriff’s office investigation

FRASER, Mich. – A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed by Fraser police during a response to a reported domestic dispute Saturday, according to the Fraser Department of Public Safety.

Police said officers were called around 5:30 p.m. to the 17000 block of Breezeway. The department said an officer shot the teen during the response.

Emergency medical aid was provided at the scene, and the teen was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

No officers were injured.

The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, in accordance with department procedures.

The investigation has been turned over to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
