4 women charged with running prostitution house at spa in Harrison Township

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – Four women are charged with running a prostitution house out of a massage parlor in Harrison Township.

The Sun Chinese Spa had been advertising its services on a website, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said. Detectives received tips about the spa offering sex acts to male clients.

A search warrant was executed Jan. 14. Five women were arrested. Four of them were charged. The fifth woman was released because she had arrived in Michigan on the same day of the arrests, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Meijuan Yu, 49, Suhua Mei, 44, Hogmei Qu, 26, and Xiaoying Yu, 51, all face the following charges: use of a computer to commit a crime, maintaining a house of prostitution, and accosting and soliciting.

They were arraigned Tuesday. Each was given a $20,000 cash-or-surety bond and they are being held in the Macomb County Jail.

The women are scheduled to be back in court Jan. 27.

The Sun Chinese Spa has been shutdown. It is located in the 36000 block of Jefferson in Harrison Township. it is believed some of the women had been living in the same building, according to the Sheriff's Office.
