Very chilly start with snow showers later today

Another very chilly start with single digits and low teens and luckily not much wind.

Still, wind chills are -5° to 5° as you head out. Snow showers will start moving in late morning through the afternoon.

The winds will start picking up then too. Highs in the mid 20s with winds WSW 10-20 mph and snow showers bringing a dusting to an inch possible around Metro Detroit. Join us downtown for a cool Meridian Winter where there is heat every 150 feet.

Weekend numbers are chilly in the single numbers early and dangerous subzero wind chills Saturday morning. We will see more clouds than sun tomorrow with a few light snow showers and winds WNW 5-15 mph. Sunday looks brighter and still cold with highs mid teens Saturday and near 20 degrees Sunday.

A Monday snow maker could bring a few inches our way… stay tuned. Before you head out, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps free in your app store under WDIV.
