Man charged in Roseville bank robbery

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 28-year-old man has been charged with robbing a bank in Roseville.

Richard McKinney was arraigned Thursday on charges of bank robbery and tempering with an electronic monitoring device. Police said he removed a tether prior to the robbery.

Police said he wasn't armed when he robbed the Comerica Bank at 279900 Gratiot Ave. on Tuesday morning. He handed a teller a note demanding money and got away with an undisclosed amount, police said.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Police had released surveillance photos of the robbery to the media, but didn't specify how they found McKinney.
