Reward offered to find person who shot woman, dumped her body on Detroit's east side

DETROIT – A $2,000 reward is being offered to find the person who shot a woman and dumped her body on a lawn in Detroit.

Shontannette "Nu-Nu" Turner, 19, was found shot in the head Dec. 2 in the 19000 block of Blackmoor, between 7 Mile Road and Eastwood Avenue. Police said she had been pushed out of a parked minivan. She was taken to the hospital, but died a week later.

Turner was a graduate of Denby High School and was attending Wayne County Community College.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.   If the tip that leads to an arrest is received by midnight Friday, Feb. 19, there is an additional $1,000 reward raising the total to $3,500.
