Paige Renkoski still missing 26 years later

Car found off I-96 with engine still idiling

Paige Renkoski

Tuesday marks 26 years since 30-year-old Paige Renkoski went missing. The case remains unsolved.

In acknowledgement of the anniversary, Crime Stoppers of Michigan is asking for anonymous tips to help the Renkoski family locate her.

Renkoski went missing on May 24, 1990 just after she dropped off her mother at the airport. Her vehicle was found stopped on the westbound shoulder of I-96, about 1/2 mile from the Fowlerville exit.

The last person to report seeing Renkoski was a passing motorist around 3:30 p.m. that day. The motorist said they saw Renkoski speaking with two unidentified black men near a maroon minivan.

Her car was later found with the engine still idling, unlocked doors, and her purse and shoes remained inside.

Six years ago the Livingston County Sheriff's Department put together a cold case team comprised of three retired investigators tasked with taking a fresh look at Renkoski's case. However, no police agency has been able to determine what happened to Renkoski.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for any information the leads to finding Renkoski.

She is described as having blue eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing 125 pounds.
