WIXOM, Mich. – A 37-year-old Wixom woman accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend in the head was arraigned Monday.
Laricca Mathews was arrested Friday morning at her Wixom home after the shooting. Her boyfriend, Gabriel Dumas, died at a nearby hospital.
Mathews was arraigned Monday on charges of open murder and felony firearm.
Mathews faces up to life in prison for the open murder charge and up to two years in prison for the felony firearm charge.
Two children -- a boy and a girl -- witnessed the shooting. They were returned safely to their mother.
Mathews is being held without bond in the Oakland County Jail.
