Bartender stabbed twice in back during fight in Mt. Clemens bar

3 people injured Monday night in bar fight

MT CLEMENS, Mich. – Three people were injured Monday night during a bar fight at the Orleans Sports Cafe on Macomb Place in Mt. Clemens.

Police said they were called to the business around 11 p.m. When they arrived, they found two men being treated by medical officials. The men were both taken to McLaren-Macomb Hospital for treatment.

A 29-year-old Roseville woman was also injured in the fight. She had a cut on her left hand and refused medical treatment. She told police she didn't know how she had been injured.

While at McLaren, one of the injured men, a 36-year-old Mt. Clemens resident, told deputies he was tending the bar at the business when a group of men started fighting. He told police that he tried to break up the fight, but was hit in the back.

He initially thought he had been punched, but later realized he had been stabbed. There were two stab wounds to the upper-right of his back.

The other injured man, a 28-year-old Harrison Township resident, had a laceration to the pinky finger on his right hand. His role in the bar fight is not yet known. Police said they weren't able to speak to him before he was taken to Ann Arbor hospital for additional treatment.

Police said surveillance video shows that the fight was the culmination of an incident that happened at a nearby business.

No charges have been filed. The investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 586-307-9358.
