Police interview 2 persons of interest in West Bloomfield torched vehicle death; 1 released

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – Two people considered persons of interest in the death of a woman found in a torched vehicle Friday morning were interviewed by police. One was arrested on an unrelated warrant out of Detroit.

Authorities identified the victim and notified the family. Her identity has not been released to the media.

The vehicle was found behind Pine Lake Elementary School on West Long Lake Road and police said they responded at about 1:30 a.m.

Fire personnel found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames and was able to extinguish the fire.

Chief Michael Patton said it is not connected to the missing woman from Farmington Hills.

Evidence technicians from the West Bloomfield Police Department are actively working the investigation.
