DEARBORN, Mich. – If you need to fill up your gas tank on this Monday morning, you'll see a significant increase in prices.
AAA Michigan is reporting gas prices statewide have increased 15 cents in the past week.
The Dearborn-based auto club says the statewide average for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.45 per gallon on Sunday, which is 36 cents more than this time last year.
The highest average price in the state was $2.48 per gallon in the Jackson area, while the lowest was $2.39 in the Marquette area, according to AAA Michigan.
According to Triple-A drivers should expect to see prices continue to rise as suppliers make the switch to the more expensive summer-blend.
