27-year-old man charged after attempted home invasion in Dearborn

DEARBORN, Mich. – A 27-year-old man is facing charges after an attempted home invasion Wednesday in Dearborn.

Casim Taha, of Dearborn, is charged with attempted home invasion.

According to police, a man heard a noise at about midnight at the rear of his home in the 6400 block of Appoline Street. He told officers he saw a man removing the screen to one of his windows.

The suspect saw the homeowner and fled.

Officers saturated the area and arrested Taha.

“The quick action by officers resulted in the arrest of a subject wanted for an attempted break in,” Dearborn police Chief Ronald Haddad said. “I commend these officers for their dedication to protecting our citizens and businesses alike.”

Taha’s bond was set at $25,000.
