DETROIT – A 17-year-old girl was shot and a 16-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet Thursday night on Detroit's northwest side, police said.
Police received calls about shots fired at about 9:55 p.m. The girls were in a car with their dad when they were hit, police said.

Police said they recovered at least 12 shell casings that they believe were from a rifle in the area of Ilene Street and Florence Avenue.
Both girls suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
A suspect and motives are unknown, police said.
