Family and friends gathered at the spot where Bryan White was killed to pray and embrace each other.

Ciara Harris was inconsolable when she saw White’s body.

“I just want my husband back,” Harris said.

The couple had been together for six years and was planning to get married in December.

White also leaves behind three young children -- 1-year-old twin daughters and a 6-year old son.

“He was an amazing father,” Harris said. “His son loved him more than life itself. How am I going to explain he’s not coming back?”

According to the family, White had left an after-hours club and was on his way home when he was killed. His friends described him as an outgoing and kind man killed in a senseless shooting.

“Even if you didn’t know him, if you heard his laugh you would laugh,” Harris said. “I’m not going to be able to hear it anymore.”

Anyone with information regarding White’s death is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-2447.
