20-year-old woman found dead in middle of street on Detroit’s west side, police say

DETROIT – A 20-year-old woman was found dead in the middle of the street on Detroit’s west side, police said.

Officers made the discovery around 11:40 p.m. Sunday in the area of Pilgrim and Bentler streets, according to authorities.

The woman was found unresponsive and had multiple gunshot wounds on her body, officials said.

Medical officials pronounced her dead at the scene.
