2 men killed in shooting in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men early Thursday morning in Grand Rapids. Two adult males were found dead at the scene of a shooting at the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street SE on June 23. Grand Rapids police said in a news release that the identification of both men is being withheld at this time.

Four additional victims later showed up at a local hospital with wounds from the shooting — three with gunshot wounds and one with an injury believed to be from flying glass, Kalczuk said. MONROE, MI – Police are investigating a double shooting where two men were shot with what appears to have been a high-powered rifle just after midnight in the city of Monroe Wednesday. Officers arrived and did not find any victims, but did find multiple spent shell casings and evidence that someone had been shot in the area, police said. While investigating the scene, police were called to a Monroe home where a man, 42, reported he had been shot in his lower extremities, police said. The man was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for injuries deemed non-life threatening, police said. The unknown shooter, firing what appeared to be a high-powered rifle, shot both the men in their lower extremities before fleeing the scene, police said.
