Police search for suspected bank robber

MARYSVILLE, Mich. – Marysville police are searching for a middle-aged man in a zip-up hooded sweatshirt who robbed a Chemical Bank, according to authorities.

Police said the man walked into the Chemical Bank at 2015 Gratiot Boulevard around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

He handed a note to the teller demanding cash, police said. There was no indication of a weapon, and nobody was injured, officials said.

The man fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of cash, according to authorities.

Police described him as a middle-aged man with a gray mustache and a beard. He was wearing a dark gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt and jeans, officials said.

A K-9 search of the area led officers to the parking lot of a nearby McDonald’s restaurant. Police believe that’s where the man got into a vehicle.
