Brighton hit hard by summer storms

No one hurt, scattered power outages in area

BRIGHTON, Mich. – Summer storms that ripped through southeast Michigan Tuesday night have left some without power and a lot of cleanup.

Local 4's Chauncy Glover walked Sundance Trail in Brighton and found tree branches and debris scattered all along the road.

One family Local 4 talked with said woke up just before 1 a.m. to their house shaking from the wind.

"We grabbed everybody and ran to the basement," Jeremy Wolf.

The family had some siding damage and their satellite dish pulled off the roof.

"All of the trees missed the house, missed my car by about a foot," Wolf said.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.

DTE Energy says they don't have any significant power outages, most are scattered across the area.
