The building, on Woodward, between Clifford and Park, is surrounding by scaffolding as it undergoes work.

Sanders, started by Fred Sanders in 1875, was one of the leading candy makers in the country by the mid-1900s.

In 2002 Morley Candy Makers, Inc., purchased the Sanders brand and original recipes adding to its own rich history dating back to 1919.
