TROY, Mich. – A Detroit woman was charged with assault and battery last weekend after police said she injured a woman and threw a glass at customers during a fight that started over bad service.

Police said a customer at McCormick and Schmick's Restaurant in Troy made a complaint about bad service around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. After the customer spoke with the manager and received an apology, an argument started with the 21-year-old server.

A fight broke out, and witnesses said the woman threw a glass at employees. During the scuffle, a customer had her necklace broken by the server and a second victim had bruising on her arm and a fingernail ripped off.

The server was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery. She also had misdemeanor warrants out for failing to appear in court in Detroit, St. Clair Shores and Royal Oak.
