Livonia gun store owner holds burglar at gunpoint after man fell through ceiling

LIVONIA, Mich. – A man who tried to rob a gun store on 6 Mile Road in Livonia was met by the armed store owner after he fell through the ceiling, police said.
The owner of Shooters Service on 6 Mile Road just west of Middlebelt Road was in his business about 4:45 a.m. Nov. 17 when a man who was trying to break into the building fell through the ceiling. The owner held the man at gunpoint until police officers arrived, Livonia police said.
Jair Christian-Lee Miner, 27, of Detroit, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering. He's also charged as a habitual offender and could face life in prison if convicted.
Miner is being held on a $1 million bond at the Wayne County Jail.
