NASA launches Mars 2020 Perseverance rover
2020′s final Mars mission poised for blastoff from FloridaNASA’s Perseverance rover will seek signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples for possible return to Earth.
Perseverance was launched successfully Thursday morning from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.
Perseverance is set to land on Mars Feb. 18, 2021 at the planet’s Jezero Crater.
