NASA spacecraft snaps image of a bear’s face on Mars
A NASA spacecraft recently found a strange delight in the cracked and pockmarked surface of Mars: The cartoonish likeness of a bear’s face. The unexpected image was snapped in late December by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft, which has been orbiting Mars for nearly two decades, EarthSky.org says. The photo was then shared by the University of Arizona’s Lunar & Planetary Laboratory with the following explanation:“There’s a hill with a V-shaped collapse structure (the nose), two craters (the eyes), and a circular fracture pattern (the head). The circular fracture pattern might be due to the settling of a deposit over a buried impact crater. To see an archive of HiRISE “Pictures of the Day,” visit uahirise.org/hipod.

news.yahoo.comMars shelves M&M spokescandies in latest woke corporate fiasco
The M&M spokescandies are only the latest to get swallowed up by the left’s dominance of corporate culture. Mia from Land O Lakes butter and her buddy the Frito Bandito were simply sacrificed on the altar of corporate wokemanship. The M&M public relations strategy was to turn a popular family brand woke overnight. M&M'S DITCHES ‘SPOKESCANDIES’ – FOR NOW – AFTER STEPS TO PROMOTE INCLUSIVITY DEEMED TOO POLARIZINGThat didn’t used to be the case and, fair to say, Mars started it. M&Ms finally ditched the woke marketing the company tried to ram down customers’ throats almost a year ago to the day.

By MARCIA DUNN, AP Aerospace WriterCAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — It could be the end of the red dusty line for NASA’s InSight lander, which has fallen silent after four years on Mars. Ground controllers at California’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory knew the end was near, but NASA reported that InSight unexpectedly didn’t respond to communications from Earth on Sunday. “It’s assumed InSight may have reached the end of its operations,” NASA said late Monday, adding that its last communication was Thursday. “It’s unknown what prompted the change in its energy.”The team will keep trying to contact InSight, just in case. Just last week, scientists revealed that InSight scored another first, capturing a Martian dust devil not just in pictures, but sound.

(AP Photo/Ng Han Guan)BEIJING – As their respective spacecrafts headed to Mars, China and the U.S. held consultations earlier this year in a somewhat unusual series of exchanges between the rivals. China's National Space Agency confirmed Wednesday that it had working-level meetings and communications with NASA from January to March “to ensure the flight safety" of their crafts. U.S. law bans almost all contacts between NASA and China over concerns about technology theft and the secretive, military-backed nature of China’s space program. China's Tianwen-1 is orbiting Mars in preparation for a landing in May or June.
