WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – The West Bloomfield Police Department issued a scam alert over the weekend about people posing as Amazon employees and requesting payments or fees to keep accounts active.

People are approached with the messages through emails and phone calls.

Police are encouraging community members to avoid the scam in order to not lose money.
