RIVERVIEW, Mich. – A baby alligator was found in the middle of a street overnight in Riverview .
Police said the discovery was made at 10:37 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 3) in the area of Marsha Street and Hale Avenue.
Riverview officers went to the location and found a two-foot baby alligator in the street, they said.
The alligator was taken into police custody and is being cared for by a reptile expert, according to officials.
Anyone with information about the alligator or who it might belong to is asked to call police at 734-281-4216.
