Did you see a ‘donut’ in the weather radar this afternoon? Here’s why
DETROIT – Were you watching the real-time radar on the Local 4Casters’ weather app this afternoon?
If so, you may have seen something strange: A “donut,” or hole in the snow pattern surrounding the radar that steadily got smaller and smaller.
Paul Gross said that there’s an explanation for that -- and yes, meteorologists actually call that a “donut.”
