A snowstorm has arrived in Metro Detroit Wednesday, finally offering a glimpse of a normal Michigan winter in an otherwise uncharacteristically dry season.

And while snow can be dangerous and inconvenient, especially for anyone on the road, it’s also a beautiful feature of the Great Lakes State.
