DETROIT – The Motown Museum just released renderings of its third and final expansion phase. The museum is in the midst of a $65 million project to transform the iconic Hitsville USA building along West Grand Boulevard into a complete campus that celebrates the history of Motown and its future musicians.
The exhibits housed in the new building that will begin construction this spring include an immersive attraction where artists tell their stories. It also includes a lounge with a listenable collection of every track in Motown’s song catalog.
Motown Museum CEO Robin Terry joined Christy McDonald on the Daily+ Live to talk about the expansion.
