7-year-old child hit, killed by car at Blossom Heath Park in St. Clair Shores

Cause of crash is under investigation

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – A 7-year-old child has died after being hit by a car at Blossom Heath Park in St. Clair Shores.

The incident occurred Tuesday (Oct. 24) at 3:20 p.m.

Officials say they provided medical assistance until the St. Clair Shores Fire Department arrived and transported the child to a hospital in the area, where he was pronounced deceased.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and police said the vehicle involved had been impounded as all parties were cooperating with officials.

The St. Clair Shores Police Department is in the process of gathering information and speaking with witnesses.
