Metro Detroit father charged with murder in death of son

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A 30-year-old man will stand trial for the death of his son, who reportedly died from injuries he sustained when he was 6 months old.

The assault happened in 2016 while in his care. The father pleaded guilty to first-degree child abuse in 2017. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office said the incident resulted in the child’s death in 2022.

Anthony Tyrese Robinson is now being charged with felony murder. He is expected to be arraigned Feb. 5.
