Police seek information in Westland unsolved homicide case of 46-year-old man

Police say incident does not appear to have been a random act

WESTLAND, Mich. – Police seek help from anyone who may have information in relation to the death of a 46-year-old man.

Officials say Jason Schultz, 46, was discovered in his home located in the 1000 block of S. Merriman Road on Oct. 1, 2023, at 10:40 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his head.

Police say the incident does not appear to have been a random act.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to the felony arrest of the person(s) responsible for the crime.
