Teen killed in rollover crash in White Lake Township Investigation is ongoing

WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police in White Lake Township are investigating a crash that killed a teenager early Monday, Feb. 12.
According to authorities, police received a 911 call at about 4:30 a.m. regarding a rollover crash near the intersection of Cooley Lake Road and Long Lane.
Police said a small SUV had left the road, struck two cement pylons and a tree before rolling over. Medical aid was given to the lone occupant, a 19-year-old man from Commerce Township , who died at the scene.
The area was shut down for several hours because of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing. Police said they do not know if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact White Lake Township Police Det. Shawn Kidle at 248-698-4400.
