2 dead, officers critically injured after crash in Warren

WARREN, Mich. – Schoenherr between 8 Mile and 9 Mile is closed early Monday morning due to a crash involving police and an SUV.

According to officials, two officers were involved in a crash with an SUV on southbound Schoenherr on Sept. 30.

Both officers are in critical condition—one officer was trapped and had to be removed from the car.

Police said the two passengers in the SUV died at the scene, and police were not chasing the SUV at the time of the crash. It’s unclear how the crash happened.
